Dynamic Duos #54......

 Hi there...

Though I'd share with you a card that we made at technique class last weekend. The technique is one that I've called Multi-toned Brayered Panel. Logical, I think.  If it has a real name ...... please let me know :-)

Stamp Sets: Petite Pairs, Flowering Flourishes
Card stock: Whisper White, Early Espresso, Pumpkin Pie
Ink: Early Espresso, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron
Other: Large sticky notes, pearls.

Then I saw this weeks Dynamic Duo's colours, Midnight Muse and Bashful Blue, and I thought.....why not!!

Here it is.....slightly altered by colour.  Only other difference is the border punch edges.

Please excuse the stray pearl on the left.....only just noticed that now.  And as it's taken me 3 days to finally have blogger allow me to upload the photos (don't know what's going on there) I'm asking for your indulgence.  It's meant to be placed on the dot on the bottom left of the panel.

Happy stamping.....Manda

Going for a record......

Yes, three nights in a row, I have stamped.  Staring to think I might be getting back into the groove, but don't want to jinx myself.

A good friend had her birthday yesterday, and as I was seeing her tonight, I came home from work and thought......"I should make something for her."  So I whipped up this notebook cover.

Deb loves pinks and purples so that made the colour scheme easy.  The notebook is one I picked up from Officeworks ages ago, but they are great as the cover is an exact match for Crumb Cake.

Card stock: Elegant Eggplant, Baja Breeze, Melon Mambo
Stamp Sets: Daydream Medallions, My Friend
Ink: Crumb Cake, Melon Mambo, Elegant Eggplant

A little embarrased.....

I was so excited last night that I had actually had a chance to put ink to card stock that I blogged what I'd done ASAP.

Then today I looked at it, and found mistakes.  I hate that. When I'd stamped the white card, I had placed the pink medallions in the triangle patter that we are all taught.  Then when I layered up the card with the pink over the white and then the ribbon, I lost the 3rd point of the triangle.

Hhhmmmmm........

I was also struggling with the sentiment.  I was asked for a particular sentiment, but it just wasn't working for me.  It was one that I had to print and I couldn't find the right font, or the right size for what I wanted.

Almost threw it in the too hard basket.

Anyway, I'm now much happier with the finished card.  Well, card front anyway.  I still have to work out the inserts to go inside.

Please excuse the late night photography.  I promise it does look like Melon Mambo IRL.

Details are as per last post.

Now off to re-submit to the challenge over at Dynamic Duos.

Dynamic Duo's # 52

Yes a blog post, and yes a challenge entry.

I was asked today to make a funky but lux birthday card for a work colleague.  So I quickly whipped this up this evening.  You can't really tell from the night time photo, but it is an A5 card to allow lots of people room to sign.

At the encouragement (or was it nagging?? hehe) of a good friend, I am also entering this into the Dynamic Duo's #52 1st anniversary challenge.

Stamp Set: Daydream Medallions
Card stock: Melon Mambo, Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black, Melon Mambo
Other: Black Satin Ribbon, Silver Cord, Melon Mambo Jumbo Button, Basic Rhinestones.

Happy Stamping.....Manda xx
